Ski hire in Encamp

Book your ski rental in Encamp here and collect it at our shop on Av. de François Mitterrand, 50 metres from the Funicamp, the gondola that takes you from the village up to Grandvalira's slopes. You walk out with your kit fitted, stroll over to the Funicamp and about 15 minutes later you're at Solanelles, where the pistes start. We rent skis, snowboards and snowblades for adults and kids, and what you see when booking is what you pay, discount included.

Which ski range should you choose in Encamp?

The ranges carry the shop's own names. You pick one when booking, and the shop sets the ski length, boot size and bindings when you collect, based on your height, weight and ability.

• Bronze-Debutant — for beginners and anyone who skis a few days a year: easy-turning, forgiving skis. Full set from €23/day.
• Plata-Initiation — for skiers already linking turns on green and blue runs who want to progress. From €28/day.
• Or-Loisir — intermediate skiers enjoying blues and reds at their own pace. From €34/day.
• Platinium-Dynamique — advanced: livelier skis with more grip for skiing fast. From €42/day.
• Diamant-Premium — the shop's highest-performance range, for expert skiers. From €46/day.
• Snowblades — short, nimble, playful skis, with boots. From €28/day.
• Kids — Basic-Junior from €16.50/day and Superior-Ado-Perf, for confident young skiers, from €25/day, with bindings set to the child's weight.

What's included?

• Full ski set: skis with adjusted bindings, boots and poles.
• Skis only: if you bring your own boots, from €17/day.
• Boots only: from €13/day; kids' boots €12.50/day.

How much is ski hire for several days in Encamp?

Standard-rate total for the full set by number of days. The longer you hire, the less each day costs: the Bronze-Debutant set is €63 for 3 days and €115 for 6 days instead of €23 every day.

On top of that, the shop takes 10% off if you hire for 3 days or more or book at least 30 days ahead, and until 15 November 2026 there's a 10% early-season discount when you book online. Discounts don't stack — the biggest one applies — and the final amount shows when you choose your dates, before you pay.

Extras you can add to your booking

• Helmet: €6/day (€36 for 6 days).
• Poles, if you hire skis only: €6/day.
• Snowshoes: €10/day.
• Ski locker at the shop, to leave your kit overnight: €11/day.
• Boot dryer: €17/day.
• Damage cover: €2/day, with a 50% excess.

Where and when do you collect your gear?

• Shop: Av. de François Mitterrand, 85, AD200 Encamp (Andorra).
• Lifts: 50 m from the Funicamp.
• Collection hours: 8:30 to 19:00.
• The evening before: you can collect the day before your first ski day, within those hours, and head straight up the next morning.
• Parking: a minute's walk from the shop.
• Workshop: waxing, edge sharpening and repairs, including your own equipment.
• Return: at the same shop at the end of your last rental day, before 19:00.
• Lift pass: not included; you'll find it on our Grandvalira lift pass page.

How does booking work?

1. Choose skis, snowboard or snowblades, then the range and the pack (full set, skis or board only, boots only).
2. Select your pick-up and return dates: the total appears straight away, with any discount you qualify for. Add a helmet, locker or damage cover if you need them.
3. Enter each skier's height, weight, ability and shoe size. You pay 20% online and the remaining 80% at the shop when you collect.
4. Pick up your fitted kit with no queuing. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before collection.

Sizes, boots and swaps

You don't need to know your ski length when booking: with your height, weight, level and shoe size, the shop prepares the skis and sets the bindings. If something doesn't feel right, they'll swap it there and then. To move to another range during your stay, ask at the shop.

Encamp and the Funicamp at a glance

Encamp is the first way into Grandvalira from Spain and the closest to Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany: about 10 minutes by car on the CG-2, and bus line L2 links Andorra la Vella with Encamp. From the village, the Funicamp — a 6 km funitel and one of the longest in Europe — climbs in 15 minutes to Solanelles, above 2,500 m, where the slopes begin; up there you'll find a self-service and El Racó de Solanelles restaurant. The Encamp sector connects with Grau Roig, Peretol and Soldeu, and the same lift pass covers all 215 km, 142 runs and 74 lifts of Grandvalira.

The 2026/27 season is scheduled from 4 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, with the slopes open 9:00–17:00, snow permitting. If you're driving, the Park and Ride lets you park at no cost from 8:00 to 23:59 in four municipal car parks in central Encamp (Coma Llarga, Prat de Baró, Arínsols and Prat de l’Areny) with that day's lift pass, and the Funibus runs to the Funicamp every 20 minutes from 8:30 to 18:00; the Funicamp car parks are paid.
