Candanchú webcam live: 4 slope cams, the N-330a, weather and snow today

Webcam Candanchú en directo: 4 cámaras de pistas, N-330a, tiempo y nieve hoy

Caranva Sports. |

Here you have the Candanchú webcams live: the four station cameras and two from the DGT on the N-330a, the access road, plus weather and snow right now at three elevations. With them you can see at a glance if there's snow on the slopes, if it's clear up top and if the road is white before heading toward Somport.

Candanchú Webcams Live

The four slope cameras are from the resort itself and stream live video with ipcamlive. The last two are DGT traffic cameras: still images of the N-330a that refresh every so often.

What to Look For in Candanchú Webcams Before You Go

  • Is the N-330a white? The two DGT cameras tell you if there's snow on the road. If the asphalt is white, the DGT may require chains toward Somport.
  • Is it clear up top? Compare Rinconada with Cima Tortiellas. If up there there's fog or snow blowing off the ridges, expect strong wind and possible high-lift closures.
  • How's the snow? Dull and without tracks after fresh snowfall: new snow. Shiny early in the day: hard or frozen snow, better to wait for the sun to soften it.
  • Is anyone skiing? Since the resort cameras are live video, on Pista Grande you can see if there are already skiers and how busy it is.

When to Check the Webcams

The afternoon before, watch the slope cameras before dark and the DGT ones to see if there's already snow on the road. In the morning, look again as soon as it's light: first the N-330a, to decide whether to have chains handy, then the slope cameras.

Getting to Candanchú: The N-330a and Chains

Candanchú is in the Aragón valley (Huesca), next to Somport pass and the French border. You get there on the N-330a, the road monitored by the two DGT cameras on this page. With snow, the DGT may require chains on the N-330a toward Somport: check dgt.es or call 011 before you leave.

Astún is just a few kilometers away, in the same area. If you're torn between the two, also check the Astún webcam and compare.

If the Webcam Says Yes: Get Your Equipment Ready
